Air Trafficking
Habana Air:
On February 17th, 2012, I smuggled one liter of Cuban air across the border through U.S. Customs, in direct violation of the 51-year embargo.
Ongoing actions:
Tehran, Iran
In February of 2013, another liter of Iranian air was smuggle across the border through U.S. Customs, in direct violation of the current.
This bottled air traveled inside a suitcase that came all the way from Tel Aviv, Israel, passing from hand to hand across a human network all the way from East to West.
Lightness
Free fall.
In an empty room a piece of fabric was installed simulating the roof, while my body was suspended on top of the fabric through a setting of strings. I walked over the surface created by the fabric until the strings ripped apart because of the weigh of my body.
The duration of this performance was about 30 minutes.
