These are cameras with IP addresses, which send a continuous stream of pictures to a location on the internet. I located these cameras through a pseudo-hacking process using the Google search engine. The feeds are checked every three seconds by a web application I produced, which intercepts each location. Many of them are security cameras in public or semi-public places.

My current collection of cameras includes: Russia, Finland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Namibia, Norway, Switzerland, UK, France, Spain, Brazil, U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, China, Israel, Turkey, and Ukraine.
I am continuing to locate and intercept cameras on an ongoing basis, exploring future possibilities for organizing, manipulating and displaying the landscapes.

Visualization for a possible installation:

As part of my exploration, I’m seeking for different ways of creating dialogues between the videos. One idea was to create a horizon line, which would blend multiple places onto a single one image.
